Reporting to General Manager Ohemaa Nyanin, she will play a pivotal role in streamlining basketball operations and supporting the team's staff.

In her new role, Romero will oversee all administrative aspects of basketball operations, focusing on the internal management of the Valkyries' basketball operations staff. She will also act as a crucial liaison between basketball operations, business operations, and the broader Golden State organization, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
Romero's career began with the Phoenix Suns and Mercury organizations, where she made history as the first woman to serve as Equipment Manager in the NBA from 2016-2022. Her previous roles include Team Travel & Logistics Manager for Player 15 Group (2022-present), overseeing travel arrangements for the Suns. From 2003-2019, she held the position of Basketball Operations Manager & Equipment Manager for the Mercury, managing team activities and assisting the coaching staff.
Romero's educational background includes a B.S. in tourism and recreation management from Arizona State University, which has undoubtedly contributed to her success in the field. Her extensive experience and dedication to the sport make her an invaluable asset to the Golden State Valkyries.
